Sand Jam!

Sand Jam! at Discover Presque Isle, presented by Marquette Savings Bank, brings two days of sand sculpting fun to Beach 11!

Throughout Friday and Saturday, professional sand sculptor Todd Pangborn will create a large-scale sand sculpture live on the beach for visitors to watch take shape over two days.

Then on Saturday, July 25, everyone is invited to join the Sand Jam Sculpture Competition. This FREE, family-friendly competition welcomes all ages, group sizes, and skill levels to grab a bucket and shovel and create their own sandy masterpiece along the Lake Erie shoreline.

Participants may begin building anytime throughout the morning, but should plan to have sculptures completed for judging at 1:00 PM. Awards will begin at 2:00 PM at the Presque Isle Partnership tent.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded in multiple categories, and beachgoers will vote live for the fan-favorite “Best on the Beach” award, with the winner taking home a $200 Mpowered™ cash prize.
