Specialty License Plates
Show your support for Presque Isle State Park wherever the road takes you! The Presque Isle Partnership specialty license plate is an easy way for Pennsylvania drivers to demonstrate their connection to Presque Isle State Park while helping fund projects and programs that enhance the park.
Each plate purchased includes a $35 charitable contribution to the Presque Isle Partnership. These funds help support initiatives such as habitat improvements, accessibility projects, visitor amenities, and educational programming that benefit everyone who enjoys Presque Isle State Park. Anyone with a Pennsylvania passenger car or truck registration may apply.
The Presque Isle Partnership specialty license plate now features our refreshed logo design, highlighting a silhouette of Presque Isle with sunset and water. This design replaces the previous plate that featured the Presque Isle Lighthouse. New applications will be issued with the updated design shown above.
Standard Numeric Plate Design ($75)
- Plate numbers are assigned numerically by PennDOT
- Available for passenger vehicles and trucks registered in Pennsylvania
- $40 covers required state fees
- $35 supports Presque Isle Partnership projects and programs
Personalized Plate Design ($211)
- Choose your own custom letter and/or number combination, up to five characters total
- One space or one hyphen may be used, but not both (No other special characters are available)
- $176 covers required state fees
- $35 supports Presque Isle Partnership projects and programs
Please note that PennDOT must approve all personalized plate combinations.
How the Application Process Works
- Click the application button above for either a standard -or- personalized plate
- Enter your vehicle registration information, PA drivers license, name, address, payment, and signature
- Your application will first be reviewed and processed locally by the Presque Isle Partnership
- Once verified, we will submit your provided information to PennDOT for final processing
- PennDOT will manufacture your plate and mail it directly to your home address
- Most plates arrive within 6-8 weeks after PennDOT receives the application.

Other Not-So-Common Circumstances
To replace a lost, stolen or defaced registration plate that is damaged, but not beyond recognition, complete and submit MV-44, "Application for Duplicate Registration Card or Replacement of Lost, Stolen or Defaced Registration Plate," along with a photograph or tracing of the registration plate for identification purposes. A registration plate is considered to be defaced when the registration plate is damaged by a specific incident such as a traffic accident, cutting, scraping or damaged caused by intense cleaning or harmful chemicals.
To replace your current issue registration plate due to the plate being deemed as illegible, please complete and submit MV-46, "Application for Replacement of Illegible Registration Plate." For personalized plates, you need to ensure the configuration is reflected exactly in the boxes on the form, including dashes or spaces. You will also need to attach a photo of the personalized plate.
