Join the NWPA Beekeepers Association to learn about the importance of honeybees, check out their mobile hive, and shop local honey products.

Gull Point Walk with Erie Bird Observatory

Monday, July 20th 9AM-12PM at Beach 10


Join Erie Bird Observatory to celebrate 10 years of Piping Plovers returning to nesting in Pennsylvania! With this bird walk you have the opportunity to observe and learn about the Piping Plover, a federally and state endangered bird.

The walk, which takes you from Beach 10 to Gull Point is about 3 miles round trip. The terrain is considered to be moderate to easy in difficulty with the path going from sand to wooded walkway.

All walks run rain or shine unless weather conditions are deemed to be too dangerous to safely be outdoors.

See Presque Isle from a new perspective as educators share stunning photos and fascinating videos captured on the park. From digital cameras and camcorders to camera traps placed across the peninsula, these images reveal surprising wildlife moments, beautiful landscapes, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of life at Presque Isle.

Join Erie Bird Observatory for a walk through Presque Isle's best birding trails.

Thompson Circle can be found just past the road that takes you to Beach 11 and the Coast Guard Station. Make sure to look for EBO signs by the road which will point you in the right direction. Click button below for directions.

Fun with Archery! with DCNR

Tuesday, July 21st 9:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-3:00pm at AAUW Pavilion


Take aim and give archery a try in this exciting, family-friendly program! Join park educators at the AAUW Pavilion to learn the basics of archery and how to safely shoot a bow. Test your skills with fun archery target games and challenges. This program is a great way to improve your aim and have a blast!

Sensational Senses With DCNR

Wednesday, July 22nd 10am-11am at Pine Tree Pavilion


Join DCNR for nature-themed sensory activities to connect with the natural world. Parents/guardians attend with their kids. Discover the fascinating world of nature as you Discover Presque Isle! Designed for children ages 3-9 along with parents, guided activities will provide a playful immersion in a forest setting while heightening the senses.

Free event. Limited to 20 participants. Registration required by July 18th.


All About Turtles With DCNR

Wednesday, July 22nd 1pm-2:30pm at Turtle Observation Deck


Join park naturalists during Discover Presque Isle and learn all about our native turtles. This is a great way to learn about our native turtles. Bring sunscreen and water. Meet at the turtle observation platform at the Lagoon Launch. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us to make fun crafts and decorations using a variety of natural materials found around the park. Choose from a variety of items collected from the shoreline and trails to design your own unique creations. This hands-on activity is perfect for all ages. Turn natures treasures into one-of-a-kind works of art.

Cost is $3.00 per participant. No registration required.


Birding by Pontoon with Erie Bird Observatory

Friday, July 24 8am-9am at Lagoon Boat Launch


Join Erie Bird Observatory and explore the marshes during Discover Presque Isle! Enjoy a guided pontoon boat tour of the Presque Isle waterways. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign waiver. Limit 16 participants.

Experience Pennsylvania’s birds of prey up close. Meet Tamarack Wildlife Center experts and their live raptor ambassadors, including hawks, owls, and falcons.
