Beach 11 Nature Playspace

Inspired purely by the natural beauty of Presque Isle, the Beach 11 Nature Playspace provides area youth the opportunity to connect with the outdoors in a controlled environment. The play elements within the space include boulders, logs, stumps, driftwood, wood chips, and planting sourced from Presque Isle. The space officially opened in July of 2017 and has since served as a safe place for children to interact with the great outdoors while letting their imaginations run wild and free.

Funding was provided by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Erie and E.C.G.R.A. and constructed by teams from Dahlkemper Landscape Architects and Contractors, Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps, DCNR, and numerous volunteers. The playspace is dedicated to the Partnership’s late director, Steve McDermott.
