E-BIKE SAFETY REMINDERS AT PRESQUE ISLE

Presque Isle’s multipurpose trail is designed to be enjoyed by everyone - all moving at different speeds and using the trail for a wide range of activities. Please ride responsibly and courteously while visiting the park.

  1. Control Your Speed
Excessive speed can be dangerous and puts both riders and other visitors at risk. Slow down in congested areas, near beach access points, and whenever trail conditions require extra caution.
  2. E-Bikes Are Quiet — Call Out When Passing
Always alert others before passing by using a bell or a simple verbal cue such as “on your left.” Many trail users may not hear an approaching e-bike.
  3. Remember the Trail Is Shared
The multipurpose trail is not a racetrack. Visitors of all ages and abilities use the trail for walking, jogging, sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation throughout the day.
  4. Ride Predictably & Stay Aware
Be mindful of sudden stops, children, pets, changing traffic patterns, and crowded sections of trail. Stay to the right except when passing.
  5. Respect the Park & Other Visitors
Courtesy goes a long way. Riding responsibly helps ensure Presque Isle remains safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone exploring the park.
