Discover Presque Isle (DPI) coordinators are forced to cancel this weekend's Presque Isle Helicopter Tours upon receiving information late Thursday night from the Florida based touring company that a mechanical issue would prevent them from taking flight. The aircraft is currently grounded in Illinois until the issue is resolved.
Unfortunately, Presque Isle Partnership will not be able to provide helicopter rides as part of DPI weekend and we apologize for any inconvenience. Safety is our main priority and we will make every effort to offer Presque Isle Helicopter Tours in the future.
All flight bookings will be fully refunded by the Presque Isle Partnership.
Presque Isle Helicopter Tours is just one of many attractions taking place as part of the Presque Isle Partnership’s heavily anticipated DPI weekend, a fundraiser benefiting the preservation and enhancement of Presque Isle State Park.

Presque Isle Partnership encourages those still interested in aviation and aerial tours to check out the “Weekend in History” event hosted by North Coast Flight School this weekend. The event runs from 10:00am to 6:00pm both Saturday and Sunday. The Madras Maiden B-17 "Flying Fortress" will be available to the public for tours and aircraft rides. North Coast Flight School will also be providing airplane rides for $25 a person.
We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your unwavering support. We hope to see you at the beach.
