We need YOU for DPI 2008! If you are energetic and passionate about helping Presque Isle State Park, here is your chance!
This year, DPI will take place Friday, July 25- July 27, 2008. Please note the following:
Shifts are 3 hours long and begin at different times. Please see below for more information. You are welcome to sign up for more than one shift!
- Morning = Shift starts between 8:30 AM and 9 Am
- Afternoon = Shifts start at 12 noon AND 3 PM
- Evening= Shift starts at 6pm
Volunteers will be assisting with button sales at key park sites, as well as providing information about DPI events and Presque Isle State Park.
Dress for the weather and outdoor activities. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking and/or standing during your shift.
Upon filling out the below form, you will be contacted to confirm your shift time and date. Thanks for your interest in volunteering at DPI 2008!

All proceeds benefit Presque Isle State Park
*The events will be split using chips provided by RUNNER'S HIGH.
The race is a 5 kilometer run, a 20 kilometer bike– featuring a full loop of scenic Presque Isle, followed by another 5 kilometer run beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2008 (Discover Presque Isle weekend). This year’s race will start and end at the beach 11 parking lot. The bike race will take place on the park’s main road with one lane closed to traffic.
Each participant will receive a high-quality race premium. Pre-registration deadline is Friday, July 18, 2008. Late entries (postmarked after July18) and day-of-race registrations will be accepted at an additional cost of $5 per entrant.

Men’s And Women’s Doubles
Sunday July 27, 2008 at 9 a.m.
Round robin pool play to insure maximum play time.
36 team limit - enter early.
Non-refundable $90 team entry for Co-Ed Sixes
and non-refundable $30 team entry for Doubles
(Payable to “Discover Presque Isle”).
T-shirts will be awarded to first and second place finishers.
All proceeds benefit Presque Isle State Park.
